About The OwnersBabysitters R Us is operated by Cane and Megan Beasy, a husband and wife team who understand the challenges of juggling work, a social life and quality time with their children. Both Cane and Megan actively participate in the day to day running of the agency, and when you make a booking or inquiry you will find yourself speaking to the very people who own and manage the business.
Since launching Babysitters R Us in July 2008, Cane and Megan have been approached by numerous parents looking for a cheaper and more permanent alternative to the casual nature of Agency Babysitter bookings. In response to the demand for more comprehensive care options, they have now added a service referred to as 'Meet The Babysitter'. This service sees us match our fully screened carers to the needs of individual families. Parents then interview the perfect nanny or babysitter, and select the best fit for their family.

"As parents of 3 children we found it difficult to locate a reliable, caring and trustworthy babysitter in our area. Upon speaking with many families we found this to be a common problem, with most parents unsure of how to find the carer that's right for their needs. We also came to the realisation that it is just as difficult for babysitters to promote themselves and assure parents that they are the right person to be caring for their children.
We are well aware of the risks parents can face using sitters from online babysitter directories, but we also feel that these sites have the potential to place sitters in danger as well. There is no way for a sitter who advertisers on these sites to really know who is responding to them, or if they genuinely require care for children. Because of this, we saw the need for babysitters to have a safe and personalised way of offering their service to families who require care.
This is why we chose to start Babysitters R Us and offer parents and carers the opportunity to find each other through one central agency. We act as the middle man between parents who are searching for a babysitter, and the carers who are looking for work.
We want to offer parents the opportunity to reclaim their social life, attend work functions, celebrate someone’s wedding or just have a relaxing night off. And now, through our 'Meet The Babysitter' service we can now offer parents the opportunity to meet and select their own nanny or babysitter for a more permanent, personalised style of care.
We pride ourselves on providing parents with carers who match their requirements. Parents simply tell us what they want in a carer and for Agency Babysitting bookings we can make a recommendation, or parents can choose their own babysitter from our Sitter Profiles online. For our 'Meet The Babysitter' service, we meticuluously match the our sitters with the care requirements of families. This process ensures parents get to meet numerous, suitable sitters in an effective and time-efficient fashion.
We understand that it can be a nervous and anxious experience leaving your precious children in the hands of a virtual stranger. Many parents may also feel a little uncomfortable about leaving a stranger unattended in their family home. That is why we have set in place a rigorous process to determine each of our carer’s suitability to enter your home and provide a high level of care for your children.
All of our sitters have childcare experience, police checks and are reference checked thoroughly so we are confident that only honest, reliable, dedicated and experienced carers are registered with Babysitters R Us.
We also personally interview each babysitter to ensure that our carers are warm, fun and have a genuine desire to work with children. We look at each babysitter as a potential carer for our own children and would never recommend a carer we wouldn’t hire ourselves. We want you to leave home without worrying!"
