TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF REGISTRATION WITH
Babysitters R Us
1. Applicants are given 14 days from the date of their interview to return their police check and to register to update or obtain a first aid certificate
2. Babysitters R Us reserves the right to de-register or refrain from registering applicants who:
· Do not meet our selection criteria;
· Do not turn up for interview times as arranged with either the agency or a family;
· Do not conduct themselves in a responsible and mature manner when undertaking placements referred by Babysitters R Us;
· Do not update Babysitters R Us on their current address and contact details.
· Arranges private nanny placements or babysitting sessions with current Babysitters R Us clients - without Babysitters R Us permission. These action may also leave a carer liable for any loss Babysitters R Us may incur.
3. Once registered with Babysitters R Us, a photographic ID card will be issued and the carer must agree to wear this to all babysitting sessions.
4. All registered sitters must agree to allow Babysitters R Us to list a brief profile about them on our website. These profiles contain basic details about a sitter’s age, experience and qualifications. Melbourne sitters will also be required to supply a photo to be used on the website profile. This allows potential clients to browse the babysitters available and make an informed choice. Sitters will be consulted regarding the content of their profile.
5.Babysitters R Us will never give clients or potential clients a care''s personal contact details without permission.
6. Babysitters R Us does not directly employ carers – we are simply an agency who will refer carers to potential clients. We are not responsible for payment of carer’s wages, nor can we guarantee a set number of referrals. Babysitters are essentially self-employed.
7. Babysitters R Us are not responsible for payment of a carer’s Taxation requirements and suggest all babysitters contact the ATO for further information regarding obligations.
8. Babysitters R Us is not responsible for any insurance cover over registered babysitters, but we suggest babysitters consider taking out Public and Products Liability as an in-home babysitter. NannySure offers cover especially for babysitters.
9. If a client cancels a booking within 12hrs of the babysitting session, the client is required to pay a cancellation fee of an amount equivalent to the minimum 3 hour booking. In this instance, Babysitters R Us will forward the clients payment onto the sitter.The cancellation policy will be enforced upon clients at Babysitters R Us' discretion.
10. Sitters registered with, and recommended by Babysitters R Us are required to be paid at a rate of $15.60 p/h up until midnight and $22 p/h thereafter. During holiday periods and public holidays, Sitters will be paid at a rate of $26 p/h up until midnight and $31 thereafter. Overnight rates are negotiable on a per booking basis. All Sitters will be paid for a minimum of 3 hours regardless of session length.
11. Babysitters R Us understands that some babysitters registered or wanting to register with us may already have existing clients, therefore Babysitters R Us takes no issue with Sitters who continue to service these existing clients. However, we do expect that any potential new clients a registered Sitter may acquire are directed to Babysitters R Us for referral and registration.
12. Babysitters R Us will provide a fair and equal opportunity to all registered carers by ensuring we rotate our referrals and recommendations to clients – however many clients select their carer based on website profiles, or specific requirements and unfortunately Babysitters R Us cannot control how clients make their choice.
